This page explains in plain words what data the digital travel companion (app and website) processes. In short: the app is deliberately frugal. All travel content is already inside the app and works offline without anything being stored about you anywhere. Personal data only arises in one single place: when you post something yourself on the shared wall.
Who is responsible
The controller under the GDPR is the app's developer, Cihat Gündüz. Contact for any privacy question and for deletion requests: support@fline.dev.
What the app does on its own: nothing
The itinerary, concerts, cities, practical tips, pronunciation, hotels and costs and the sheet music are all contained in the app. Nothing is fetched. As long as you only use those areas, not a single piece of data leaves your device. There is no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no sharing with third parties.
The shared wall
Only the "Wall" area connects to a server, so the group can share photos and messages. It processes:
- Your display name – freely chosen. You do not have to use your real name.
- Your posts and comments – the text you write.
- Your photos – the images you upload yourself.
- A random device identifier – an anonymous random number generated on first launch and stored in your device's keychain. It contains no device or personal information and exists only so you can edit and delete your own posts.
This content is visible to everyone who has the app, that is, to the travel group. So please do not post anything the whole group should not see, and do not upload photos of other people without asking them.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by posting and can withdraw at any time by deleting your posts.
Where the data is stored
The wall runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Text and names are held in a database, photos in an object store. Cloudflare processes the data as a processor; a transfer to third countries cannot be ruled out and is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses. No evaluation for advertising purposes takes place.
Camera and microphone
The app asks for the camera when you want to take a photo directly for the wall. The camera is never used without your action.
The "Practice" area has an optional microphone feature that lets the notation follow your voice. Pitch detection runs entirely on your device. Nothing is recorded, stored or transmitted. You can switch the feature off at any time.
How long, and how to delete
You can delete your own posts in the app at any time; they are then permanently removed together with their photos and comments. After the tour ends, the wall is shut down and the data deleted.
You also have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. An informal email to support@fline.dev is enough.
This website
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses no cookies and no analytics. Serving pages produces technically necessary server logs (including IP address, time and page requested), which serve secure operation and are not combined into profiles. The only setting that is stored is your language and light/dark choice, and that stays exclusively in your browser, not on the server.
